A Traditional Family Business

The Gasthof Keindl is one of the oldest properties in Niederaudorf (known as a “Hube”). The farm was recorded around 1270 among the dozen estates located in Niederaudorf, which at that time belonged to the Bavarian Dukes as landlords.

Wastl Huber was already named as the innkeeper starting in 1445. It can therefore be said that Gasthof Keindl has been run as an inn since 1445. The Paur family has been on the property since 1681, the Keindl family since 1847, and the Waller family since 1918. Since 1847, the “Keindlhof” has been mentioned in connection with a butcher shop.

Gasthof Keindl in Niederaudorf can thus look back on centuries of hospitality tradition. During the renovation of the property in 1977, care was taken to preserve the down-to-earth style in all modernization measures, particularly in the interior design. Since 2003, the Keindl has included the manor house as well as a Roman-style wellness oasis. The main building has also been renovated in recent years, and four new suites were created in 2016.

Farming is also practiced with great care at the “Keindl.” The animal-friendly rearing of our oxen in the newly built ox stable, as well as the professional slaughtering in our butcher shop, ensure the best, consistent meat quality.

Now in its 6th generation, the Waller family considers it an obligation to continue the tradition and strives to meet all the wishes and demands of their guests.
